This is my first post for the Travel Trinkets and Memories Challenge  https://nihongojapango.wordpress.com/please-join-my-challenge/.  I purchased this necklace in New Zealand two years ago. I really enjoy wearing it and I get lots of compliments.  I am pretty sure that it is made from Paua, the Maori term for abalone.
