Rhine River Cruise and Israel-Day 5-2

Yesterday we sailed through the breathtaking Rhine River Valley.  We went to the top of the ship at the very front and our guides provided commentary as we passed castles, vineyards and picturesque towns.

We docked for the night at the small town of Bacharach and walked into town for a traditional German dinner.  We had fun entertainment when we returned to the ship provided by a local musical group called “The Sandy Quartet”.

We continued our journey this morning with more beautiful scenery as we sailed towards Koblenz.

  1. Looks like you are having a wonderful time. Brings back memories from my trip to the Mosel area of Germany for my son’s wedding. Koblenz is the town where the Mosel meets the Rhine. I did it all by train, but it runs along the river so you have some fantastic views.

  2. Susan, I am just now reviewing your blog and am reliving the great time we had cruising the Rhine. Your photos are fabulous. We heard from Neal and it sounds like your trip to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv was equally interesting and fun. It was great meeting all of you. Carole and Med
