Yesterday morning we saw more beautiful scenery as we cruised from Speyer to Koblenz.

We docked in Koblenz and were taken on a walking tour of the city.  We saw the Deutsches Eke, the confluence of the Rhine and Mosel rivers.

We then docked in Konigswinter and in the evening were bussed to Schloss Ehreshoven for a lovely dinner.  We were serenaded by a string quartet and had an elegant meal at this castle. The castle is home to nine-twelve very old women from aristocratic families who have little money.  The last owner was a wealthy woman with no heirs and she set up a foundation allowing these women to live in the castle and assure that they would be taken care of in their old age.
