On Wednesday I went on a wonderful outing to Elkhorn Slough with friends and we saw wonderful wildlife. I will be posting more pictures on my site, but am contributing this one of brown pelicans in flight to https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/quest/
I had to crop in pretty close, so it’s not as clear as I’d like. Would love to upgrade my telephoto lens, but can’t justify right now!

I am now taking my first steps with my 300 telephoto lens, but already have appetite fir a 600 (or even a 800). I am a Nikon person but they are far too expensive, although there are a few others on the market which may be just as good – Sigma perhaps. You have caught the birds well, It is difficult when they are flying as they move all the time. Unfortunately no perlicans in Switzerland.

I love to sit on the beach and watch Pelicans fish. Their strength is amazing
