I participate in a weekly challenge on http://52frames.com/. The theme this week is “Inspired By a Famous Photographer”. I chose Vivian Maier. She was a nanny whose work was only discovered after she died; over 100,000 negatives in an abandoned storage locker. Vivian’s genre was street photography, shot primarily in black and white. I tried (probably poorly, as I am way outside my comfort zone) to emulate a few shots that she might have taken. They were edited in LR and Nik Silver Efex Pro, using an Ektachrome filter (a type of film that she frequently used).
You can read more about Vivian here and learn about the documentary about her life, Finding Vivian Maier here

Perfect emulation!

Nicely done, Susan! I have not shot much street photography, it takes a knack, and you have it !

Thank you, Teri! I’d like to get better at it, but uncomfortable asking people for permission to take their photo!
