This morning we were picked up at our hotel by our driver and guide for the day, Robin, from North Cotswolds Taxis to begin touring in the Cotswolds.  Charming villages and rolling hills and farmlands typify the Cotswolds, located in South Central England.

On the way to the Cotswolds we picked up our nephew, Julian, who we hadn’t seen in many many years and stopped for a walking tour of Oxford, University.

We drove through the beautiful countryside and visited several charming villages, including Bampton, where Downton Abbey was filmed.

Late in the afternoon we arrived at Buckland Manor, near Broadway, where we will spend the next two nights.
