Yesterday we were picked up by our driver, Eddie, and spent the full day touring in the Cotswolds. The countryside is beautiful, rolling hills dotted with farms and charming villages. Some of the villages that we visited were Upper Slaughter, Lower Slaughter, Stanton, Guiting Tower, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stowe, Broadway and Chipping Campden. Along the way we stopped to photograph sheep, race horses out to pasture, thatched roofs, and hunting dogs after their morning run.

We arrived back at Buckland Manor, with resident yellow lab, Oscar and kitty, at around 5:00 p.m. We went back out to Broadway for dinner and spent the rest of the evening catching up on family history with our nephew, Julian.
Today we have to say good-bye to Julian for now and head back to London to start our Tauck tour. Can’t wait to see our friends Ellen and Neal, Rae and Paul and Kevin!

Strangely, some of these photos remind me of various towns in New Jersey.

Oh, I do envy you! My husband was planning an extended trip to the Cotswolds for us for our upcoming 40th anniversary ( I didn’t even know this until I found his handwritten notes). However, he recently suffered a major stroke, and the trip is now out of the question. I will just have to visit vicariously through your photos. It does look lovely!
