My entry to Dutch Goes the Photo’s Tuesday Challenge, Sky
I was pretty happy with the shots that I captured of the solar eclipse on August 21st, 2017. Decided to revisit them and choose a favorite for this week’s challenge.
I purchased a special solar filter to protect my lens and set my tripod up in the park across the street from my house. My lens was my Olympus 40-150mm PRO with a 1.4X teleconverter bringing the focal length to 210 mm. This was the end of the eclipse. Peak coverage in our area was about 75%.
for this week’s challenge.

It’s a stunning image.
