My entry to Dutch Goes the Photo’s Tuesday Challenge, Old
One of my most treasured possessions is this antique chest which my paternal grandparents were able to bring with them when they left Germany in 1936. When my grandparents died it went to my father and now it graces my dining room along with a matching sideboard. I have not been able to determine how old it is, but it is appraised as an antique. It is made of mahogany with mixed wood inlays. There is lots of storage inside, and the shelves pull out for easy access.

Oh my! It’s exquisite Susan! My favorite possession is a dresser passed down from my maternal grandparents who also brought it over from Germany in the 1880’s. I love old things. It’s amazing that they’ve survived so many years.
