We completed converting our front yard to sustainable landscaping today. We got rid of the front lawn and installed drought resistant plants and a drip irrigation system. We will receive a rebate from our water district for part of the cost of the project. Here are the workers putting on the final touches. Can’t wait to see what it looks like as the plants grow and fill in. My entry to Dutch Goes the Photo’s Tuesday Challenge, New.
Our New Sustainable Landscaping

sensible idea! We changed our front garden into low maintainance last summer, and it has saved so much hard work. Wish we could do the same with the back garden!

That would be a great idea to explore over here in Sacramento. I have a small front yard with grass under two huge fruitless mulberries. I think our water district has similar rebates. Hope you enjoy!!

It would be, Terri. You can call your water district or check their website.
