I tried something new this evening. I mounted my camera on a tripod and used my camera as a remote trigger so as not to chase away the hummingbirds. I know red food is controversial, but I can’t attract them with clear sugar water; I’ve tried!

This is wonderful, Susan! Good idea! I feel the same way you do about the red stuff…they seem to prefer it. The same hummer family has been feeding on it for 3 years, so it must not be too bad!
