For his Tuesday challenge this week, Dutch has chosen the theme Rock. When you think of Ayers Rock, or Uluru (the Aboriginal name for this sacred place) you think of a hugh red rock in the middle of the Australian outback. That is Uluru in the background, but I think our tour group visiting adds a little more interest. It was very hot and the flies were terrible! We all had to wear green nets over our faces to protect us from them, except for the guide in the blue shirt, who was used to them. We even had cocktails at sunset at the rock and sipped wine through our nets!

Stunning rocks. I had never seen that color before! (I hope they weren’t biting flies…)

Ugh! I detest the sound of buzzing flies. But your guide stood like a “rock” among them and was unfazed.
