Tuesday Photo Challenge: Face-to-Face Meetings!

Frank has chosen the theme Connections for his Tuesday Challenge this week. I have met many wonderful people through the blogging community.  It has been my great pleasure to meet two of these friends in person, when I traveled from the U.S. to Europe.

Many of you probably follow Pat’s blog, Chronicles of an Angloswiss. When I found that I was going to be in Basel, Switzerland for a day in 2016, I contacted Pat and she took the train in from her little village to meet me.  I did not realize at the time that Pat rarely leaves her village and that it was not easy for her to make the trip, due to her health issues.  I so appreciated her making this big effort!  We had a wonderful lunch at an outdoor cafe and I still read Pat’s delightful blog posts every day.

By the next year I had made the transition from brown to grey hair! I was in Normandy and contacted Nicole of Une Photo Un Poeme’.  Nicole also contributes to this challenge. She met me and my husband in the town of Honfleur, France and we had a lovely lunch by the water.  She brought us some local gifts and showed us around this charming town before we had to head back to meet up with our tour group.

If you are going to be traveling near your blogging friends, see if you can connect with them.  You’ll have a wonderful time!
