This week Nancy, in her A Photo A Week Challenge post, wrote about her memories of the lilac bushes at the house where she grew up.  The theme of the challenge is Nostalgia.  I have similar memories of the sweet-smelling daphne plants at my childhood home.  My mother would pinch of a sprig and slip it into my father’s lapel as he went off to work.

Daphne is a finicky plant and I have never had luck growing it.  I’m trying it again, and this time in a pot, where I can control the light and moisture better.  The scent brings back nice memories and I hope my new one stays happy!
