This week for the Lens-Artist challenge, Patti has chosen the theme of Favorite Things.

I seem to be on a bird kick lately.  Last week I wrote about the wild doves nesting above our deck.  Babies have now hatched, but I haven’t gotten a photo yet.  I have seen their little heads from inside the house, but mom and dad must get nervous when we go outside, because the babies seem to hunker down.

One of my favorite things is watching the birds frolic in our backyard fountain.  They do not seem bothered when I venture out with my camera, as long as I don’t get too close.
