Cruising the Danube-Day 5

Today is our final day in Prague. This morning we took a tour of the historic Jewish Quarter.  Our guide was outstanding!  We visited several synagogues, which are now monuments and museums.  The cemetery, dating back to 1400 is especially fascinating. Cliff and I had visited here fourteen years ago, but learned much more today than we did then. There is also a collection of childrens’ art from Terezin, which we visited on Sunday.

After our tour we returned to our hotel and had lunch with Ellen and Neal outdoors in the rooftop restaurant.

This afternoon we passed on the organized tour of Prazsky hrad, the Prague Castle, and went up to the castle on our own for a shorter visit.  We walked around the grounds and then returned to the hotel.

Shortly we will leave for dinner at V Zatisi, a highly recommended restaurant where we ate when we were in Prague fourteen years ago.

Tomorrow morning we depart for Regensburg in Bavaria.  We will spend some time visiting the city and then motorcoach to our riverboat, the MS Savor.

Once we board the boat my posts may be a little more sporadic.  My prior experience has been that the wi-fi is very slow and I have not been able to post photos.  If that is the case, I will have to post my commentary and fill in the photos later.  We shall see!
