This week Amy is the host of the Lens-Artists Challenge and she has chosen the theme of Under the Sun.
Just before travel ceased we were completing our Central America cruise, and I thought that these birds in Acapulco, I think they are pelicans, made a nice photo.

Susan, your image is beautiful, thanks for joining us this week. It looks like you’ve changed your format and while the image came through perfectly your black text is nearly invisible on the dark background. I had that problem with my own blog and had to lighten the either the text or the background to improve visibility. Thought you’d want to know.

Thank you for the head’s up, Tina. That’s so weird because it looks fine when I pull it up. I have changed the format and have called upon WordPress support twice over the last few days. They found a glitch in the theme that I use yesterday and fixed it, but my understanding was that it was only on the editing side. I am going to make a test post shortly. Will you take a look at it and tell me if there is still a problem? Thanks!

Hi there. The test post looks fine. The background is now white and the text black so you can easily read it but if you wanted black background it’s no longer there. I had a similar issue a year or two ago. I just lightened up the black a bit and now I use bold for all of my text. Annoying but a workable choice for dark backgrounds

Thanks, Tina. I had decided on a white background so it would be crisp and easy to read. So this is what I was after. It took three chat sessions with tech support, so as long as it’s working, I’m going to leave it alone.
