The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, begins tomorrow night.  It will be very different this year because our synagogue services will be Zoomed and family gatherings will be curtailed.

I don’t often cook big meals anymore, but a side dish called noodle kugel is a favorite and the recipe has been in our family for many years.  Egg noodles are blended with eggs, milk, sour cream, cottage cheese and butter, and white raisins add sweetness. My husband and I will enjoy it tomorrow! Here’s a peek inside my oven, just before I took the kugel out.
