Lens-Artists Challenge #115: What Inspires Me?

This week Tina is the  host of the Lens-Artists Challenge and she has chosen the theme of  Inspiration

Ruth Bader Ginsburg lived her whole life inspiring others and I mourn her death this week,  along with our entire nation.

“She envisioned a world different from the one she had grown up in, a better world in which gender

was no obstacle to women’s achievement, to their ability to dream big and to realize their aspirations.

Then she set out to use the law to usher that world into existence.”

Linda Greenhouse, The New York Times, September 24, 2020

No, this is not my photo, but I felt that, for this theme, I wanted to pay tribute to Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s memory here.

I also never cease to be inspired by the beauty of nature–A lush garden, towering trees in the forest, a tropical sunset.

Theme: Inspiration

  1. Susan, I love the image of RBG you chose – do you suppose she really was that perfectly organized or did she get the office ready for the photographer?! I am so happy to see the reverence that she so deserves being paid to her. Lovely sunset as well.

  2. Beautiful sunset. Ruth Bader, not unlike Mother Teresa in many respects, I’d say.

  4. Hi, Susan. I am so glad you honored RGB here. She was an inspiration. The portrait is wonderful. I can imagine her standing up right after the photo and saying, “Now it’s time to get back to work!”
