This week Amy is hosting the weekly Lens-Artists Challenge. Her theme is Then and Now . For the past three Thanksgivings we have traveled to Palm Desert California to gather with extended family for a few days. We have babies, small children, college kids, Boomers and Seniors. The weather is usually warm and there is time to swim, hike, relax and spend quality time together. I will greatly miss this time together this year.
Clifford and I are being extremely cautious this year, and celebrated alone with a delicious dinner and excellent bottle of wine. Gabby supervised the turkey carving! We are beyond grateful for a comfortable home, our health, a delicious dinner and three wonderful Zoom calls to bring our loved ones closer.

A beautiful photo of your extented family, what a fun time to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner then. Sun to see Gabby supervising the Turkey carving. 🙂
This year’s Thanksgiving dinner is different for so many of us. We, too, are grateful for our health.

Like you Susan, we are also cautious and greatly missed our annual gathering with family. We did, however, invite a few “pod” members to share the Thanksgiving meal. It was a lovely evening with very good friends. No children or young adults tho, just a few our age which makes for a very different experience. The wine helps tho!!!

That’s a lot of meat, my friend. It looks lovely, and Gabby is certainly enjoying the day. We moved to Prescott, AZ last week where we only know our realtor. The three of us, hubby, SIL and I had a delicious dinner of lasagna, green beans, salad with flourless chocolate cake covered with strawberries for our desert. We had a great time, but missed friends in CA. We did a lot of phoning. 🙂 Hope you have a wonderful rest of your holiday weekend. 🙂

Exciting that your move is complete, Marsha. We had a lot of food, but I brought enough for two or three meals to my friend who has cancer who I wrote about earlier. All was delicious!

That was so sweet of you, Susan. It’s good to have abundance when you share it. I admire people like you who are so generous and thoughtful of others. God bless. 🙂

These two images represent the situation for many of us. I’m looking forward to thanksgiving 2021.
