This week Tina is hosting the weekly Lens-Artists Challenge. Her theme is 2020 Favorite Images. Under normal circumstances my favorites would surely include a selection of travel photos, but for most of 2020 I was sequestered at home, as was almost everyone else. The monarch butterfly is from my only trip; taken in Costa Rica. I learned to look for the beauty in my own backyard, to try to be creative and learn new skills in my studio, and to hone my editing tools. I also completed a Pandemic Porch Portraits project and chose two favorite photos from that project. I combed through my photos and here is a gallery of my favorites.

Some wonderful creativity here Susan – good for you for sneaking in a Costa Rica trip (I’m assuming) before COVID became so oppressive. Loved your smoke and the eggs especially – really clever. Wishing you all the best in 2021.

Thank you, Tina. Yes, Costa Rica was on our Central America cruise, just before things shut down.
