I was disappointed that my video file of a monarch butterfly emerging from it’s chrysalis was too large to include in my blog post, but I have uploaded it to YouTube. Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=of-B6kHKZN. Do watch it; the process is truly amazing!
I couldn’t see the video on my phone, Susan. But I’ll bet it is amazing. The URL includes the word edit so maybe that’s why.

I would love to see it, Susan. I used to have issues when I taught classes, what I could see in Canvas, especially videos were only viewable by me. Since I had different access than the students, but the students couldn’t see what I saw.

That was an amazing video! They way it uncoiled its body when it first emerged was stunning. Then the time it spent flexing its proboscis was really cool to watch. I am in absolute awe. Time to look into planting some milkweed around here!

Thank you, Russell. I’m glad that you found the video as fascinating as I did! Do plant some milkweed. It may take a couple of years to become established enough to attract the monarchs.
