For her Sunday Stills challenge this week Teri has chosen the theme, “Christmas Song Lyrics”: https://secondwindleisure.com/2021/12/05/sunday-stills-christmas-song-lyric-photo-challenge/
Although I am Jewish, I love Christmas music and I have been listening to soft holiday instrumentals while baking today. The lyrics for Hallelujah, written by Leonard Cohen, aren’t about Christmas but it is played at this time of year and I love listening to it!
“Now I’ve heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do you?
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor falls, the major lifts
The baffled king composing Hallelujah”
This isn’t a Christmas photo either; it’s our cute little Grandniece when she found the Afikomen (hidden matzoh) on Passover. Can’t you just hear her singing:
“Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah “

Nice post Susan. It was a sad Passover when we realized that we didn’t have any young children anymore to find the Afikomen! Lovely picture of your Grandniece.

How adorable your grandbaby is! I used to attend Seders at my friend Elane’s home and it was a fun time when someone found the Afikomen. About half of us who attended each year are Christians and what an honor it was to have her share her faith with us. I love your music. I can hear the words in my head as it plays. Thanks for sharing.
