Bears in Alaska!-2

For her Sunday Stills Challenge this week, Teri has chosen the theme, “It’s A Wild(Life)”. https://secondwindleisure.com/2022/01/23/sunday-stills-its-a-wildlife-world/

I would have been very disappointed if we hadn’t seen bears on our Alaska cruise last June, but we did see these beautiful animals and it was so memorable!!

I’m am “double dipping” and also submitting this post to the Lens-Artists Challenge with the theme of “Memorable Events”.

  1. I agree that it wouldn’t be the same if you didn’t see bears, Susan! and See you did. Gorgeous shots! Back in the 70s, we would see so many bears at night in Tuolumne Meadows campground in Yosemite as they did their nightly trashcan raids, before the bruin bafflers and bear lockers were installed.

    • Teri, When I was in college in the 60’s I worked as a maid for the housekeeping tents in Yosemite. There was a strict rule not to have food in our tents, but the girls next door did. One afternoon I was alone in my tent at the top of a hill. I heard a loud noise and then a rip in the canvas. A bear was breaking into their tent! I high-tailed it down the hill; maybe not the smartest thing to do because he could have come after me!
