I decided to visit the photos that I took of the solar eclipse in August 2017, capturing the changing phases of the eclipse over about a 2 1/2 hour span. I ordered a special filter to protect my lens and set up my camera in to park across the street from my house. We did not experience a total eclipse of the sun here in San Jose, but at the peak we had 75% coverage.
